About Us
Meet the Owners
We’re Eddie and Maria Acosta, the husband and wife team behind Skilled Builders. We’re proud to call beautiful North Dakota home and are raising our four boys here. As a family, we believe in hard work, honesty, and integrity, and those same values are at the heart of everything we do.
Construction has always been a part of Eddie’s life. He started working alongside his dad at a young age and has spent most of his life in the industry. In 2012, following the Flood of 2011, we moved to Minot, where we had the privilege of helping rebuild homes affected by the disaster. Being able to contribute to the city’s recovery while becoming part of the Minot community is something we’ll always be grateful for.
As the years went on, what started as a passion eventually became Skilled Builders, officially established in 2018. Today, Eddie oversees our projects in the field, while Maria manages the business behind the scenes. From marketing and branding to the day-to-day operations that keep everything moving forward.
Skilled Builders has always been more than just a business to us. It’s something we’ve built together as a family. We know inviting someone to work on your home is a big decision, and we never take that trust for granted. Our goal is simple: deliver quality workmanship, communicate honestly, and leave every customer feeling confident they chose the right team.
Rooted in Family. Built on Trust.
What sets Skilled Builders apart? It starts with showing up, on time, every time, and communicating clearly from the first conversation to the final nail.
From helping homeowners recover after wind and hail damage to giving your home a fresh, modern look, our team is committed to transparency, quality, and making sure you have the information you need to make the best decision for your project.
Proud to Support Our Community
We live here, we are raising our boys here, and we believe a local business should give back to the Minot community that supports it.
Sponsoring Youth T-Ball
We sponsored a youth t-ball team, and the players took the field in red Skilled Builders shirts.
Youth sports teach kids teamwork and confidence early. We are glad to play a small part in that.
Proud Dakota Rattlers Mat Sponsor
The Dakota Rattlers are one of the leading youth wrestling clubs in North Dakota, and Skilled Builders is one of their mat sponsors. Each March, wrestlers from 8U through the junior level compete at the Rattlers tournament at the Minot Municipal Auditorium. Look for our sign at the mat we sponsor.
When you are ready for your own project, see the roofing and exterior services we offer.
A Local Roofer Invested in Minot
When you hire Skilled Builders, you are hiring neighbors who show up for Minot on and off the job site. Call us at (701) 480-9939 or request your free estimate today.
